Commensal Gut Bacteria and Host Immunity

The human genome project was launched in many places in the world, and the purpose of this project was to sequence the human genome and to find how many genes there are present, so that in the future we could utilize some of this knowledge for treatment and also for development of pharmacologic agents and for many other health benefits. It was found that by using various sequencing techniques that the human genome makes up 25,000 to 30,000 genes. Along with this, one of the things that was done was the development of new technologic methods and sequencing techniques.
