The Foundation for Care Management is a 501c3 non-profit, tax-exempt foundation. It is governed and advised by an active distinguished board of healthcare professionals. The Foundation has offices in Vashon and Kirkland, Washington as well as Colorado Springs, Colorado.

Educator, consultant, medical publisher, international lecturer, and nurse entrepreneur. Dr. Dunn has authored and published books on nutrition, newsletters, and research monographs. She has been involved in education of nurses and physicians for 30 years, has lectured in 22 countries, and set up schools of nursing in six.

Stephen R. Yarnall, MD, FACP, FACC, CLL

During his years in academic medicine where he trained as an invasive cardiologist and where he earned Fellowship in the American Colleges of Physicians and of Cardiology, Dr Yarnall also received an MS degree in Biostatistics with a thesis on “Mathematical Models for Prognosis”. He maintains a busy practice in Edmonds, focusing on Preventive Cardiology. His goal has been to link wisdom with wit and to make medical practice be practical with a focus on prevention.

Lisa Thoms, DDS , MSD

Dr. Lisa Thoms is a prosthodontist, practicing in Kenmore , Washington . She graduated from USC's School of Dentistry and the University of Washington's nationally accredited Prosthodontics program, where she received a Certificate in Prosthodontics and a Masters of Science in Dentistry. She began her private practice in 1993.

Roger Olsson, MD

Graduated from the University of Nebraska College of Medicine in 1975. Dr. Olsson is Board certifified in the American Board of Family Practice. He has been a family physician in the Edmonds Family Medicine Clinic. His professional interests include electrotherapy rehabilitation and voice recognition for computerized offices and clinics.
Peter Kudenchuk, MD, FACP, FACC
Seattle, Washington

Professor of Medicine in the Division of Cardiology at the University of Washington. Dr Kudenchuk is board certified in Internal Medicine, Cardiovascular Diseases, Critical Care Medicine, and Clinical Cardiac Electrophysiology. He has received numerous awards for excellence in teaching and clinical practice, and recognition as being among the “Best Doctors” in Seattle and in America. His research interests pertain to resuscitation from cardiac arrest, and cardiac electrophysiology.
Kasra Pournadeali, ND

Dr. Pournadeali (pour-na-deli) is director of the Northwest Center for Optimal Health in Marysville, Washington. He has been a healthcare provider since 1992, and is a graduate of Oklahoma and Bastyr University, where he serves as faculty. Dr. Pournadeali speaks & writes locally and nationally, is President of the Washington Association of Naturopathic Physicians, and is the only Naturopathic Doctor ever published in the Journal of the American Medical Association.
Brenda Garritson, MS, RD, LD

Brenda has a BS degree in nutrition from Harding University and MS in nutrition from Texas Woman's University. She has numerous abstracts and publications of research on nutrition in HIV and cancer. She has served on the board of the Society of Nutritional Oncology Adjuvant Therapy. Brenda was recognized as the Nutrition Entrepreneur of the Year, 1995 by the American Dietetic Association, and 1995 Distinguished Alumnus award presented by Dallas Christian School.

Gail Lasher, NP

Gail received her nursing diploma from St. Joseph' Hospital School of Nursing in Tacoma, WA. In 1976, she became a Women's Health Nurse Practitioner. Gail practiced nursing for over thirty years at the Everett Clinic where she still works part-time. She remains active in the medical field and contributes to the educational activities of FCM, particulary in our evidence-based educational research.

Physician Assistant with National Board Certification since graduating from the University of Washington, MEDEX Northwest Physician Assistant Program, in Seattle, Washington in 1988. Presently working in a Primary Care Facility for Group Health Permanente in Family Medicine and Urgent Care. Barbara holds AAPA, WAPA membership.

Kathleen Davis, MD
Vashon, Washington

Dr. Kathleen Davis is a Board Certified internal medicine physician with over 20 years experience in clinical medicine, health education, and medical practice management. She has worked in various health care settings in the U .S, Uganda , Guatemala and Laos . Dr. Davis earned her Diploma in Tropical Diseases and Hygiene from the Liverpool School of Tropical Medicine in 2007. From 1996-2005, she was a clinical attending and Co-director of Outpatient Graduate Medical Education for Madigan Army Medical Center .

 

Jerry Gillick, R.Ph.
Colorado Springs, Colorado

Pharmacist Jerry Gillick brings experience in pharmacy management, custom compounding, therapeutic nutritionals and herbal medicine to the Advisory Board. Educated in Toronto and Quebec , Canada , he is licensed as a pharmacist in a total of seven states. He is also Adjunct Clinical Instructor, Division of Pharmacy Practice and Administration, University of Missouri-Kansas City School of Pharmacy. He has experience in research directed toward cosmeceuticals and sterile and non-sterile preparations. Presently, Mr. Gillick is Pharmacy Manager, Director of Research and Development, and a member of the board of directors for College Pharmacy.

Matt Layton, M.D., Ph.D.

Dr. Layton is the Program Director for the University of Washington Department of Psychiatry & Behavioral Sciences Residency Training Program – Spokane Track. He received a M.D. and Ph.D. in Pharmacology from Kansas University Medical Center. Currently, he is a Clinical Associate Professor in both the Washington State University WWAMI (Washington-Wyoming-Alaska-Montana-Idaho) Medical Education Program. Dr. Layton is certified by the American Board of Psychiatry and Neurology.

Narinder M. Duggal, MD

Narinder M. Duggal, MD is board certified in Internal Medicine and a Fellow of the Royal College of Physicians of Canada . He is also a clinical pharmacy specialist. Dr. Duggal is currently Medical Director of Liberty Bay Internal Medicine in Poulsbo, WA and a Clinical Associate Professor, School of Pharmacy at the University of Washington.
