At the completion of this course, the presenter will be able to:
- Describe the rationale for interactive lectures
- Design case-based problem solving presentations
- Develop effective pre and post tests that measure knowledge and competence
- Incorporate two of the following into every lecture:
- Know your audience
- Use additional case studies (speaker provided) and case-based question and answer format throughout the lecture
- Small group or two-person buzz sessions
- Discussion of cases provided by learners
- Post presentation discussion case study review with Q and A of the audience
- Quality improvement tool box for implementing in practice post-activity

Jeanette Dunn, RN, EdD
Biosketch
Clinical Nurse Specialist, educator, medical publisher, international lecturer, and nurse entrepreneur. Dr. Dunn has authored and published books on nutrition, newsletters, and research monographs. She has been involved in education of nurses and physicians for 30 years, has lectured in 22 countries, and set up schools of nursing in six.
